$580.00 $299.95

112ft ice dam heat cable. Heavy-duty, professional-grade, high-quality ice dam heat cables for use in controlling ice dam build-up and preventing water damage that can be the result of ice dams. This heat cable is the highest-quality, most effective ice dam heat cable on the market. It will save you money in energy costs, and replacement expense. See below for more info.

Product Description

Our ice dam heat cables are designed for residential and commercial ice dam prevention. Unlike cheap, big-box ice dam heat tape, our cables are self-regulating, only asking for the power they need to do their job. This saves you a lot of money in the long run by not wasting electricity. Our heat cable is also perfect for gutter de-icing and pipe heat tracing applications. Our plug-in ice dam cables are suitable for various roofing. Factory assembled with a standard three-prong plug, each cable can simply connect to any grounded 120V receptacle. Also unlike cheap ice dam prevention heat cables, our cables can be overlapped across itself without risk of overheating and/or burnout.

  • 112 Feet in length
  • Self-Regulating – The cable regulates it’s temperature and power consumption, optimizing for the surrounding temperature
  • Produces 5 watts per foot (at 50ºF) and 8 watts per foot (at 32ºF).
  • Suitable for gutter de-icing and ice dam prevention applications on shingle, metal, plastic, tar, wood roofs and metal or plastic pipes up to 6″ for pipe heat tracing applications.
  • Additional 48-inch unheated lead length and plugs into standard 120V receptacle
  • UL C/US listed
  • 5-year manufacturer’s warranty.

How do I know How Much Heat Cable I need?

The Amount of heat cable you need depends on many factors including -but not limited to- length and depth of eave, whether or not gutters are present, quantity and length of downspouts, and more.

Calculate your product needs using our ice dam heat cable calculator.

Use this tool to calculate the amount of heat cable you need for your roof, the number of roof clips you need for your heat cable, and the number of downspout hangers you need for your gutters.

Other Products Needed

When purchasing ice dam heat cable to be installed on your house, keep in mind that you will also need some installation accessories.

In particular, every heat cable installation will require Heat Cable Roof Clips to secure the cable on your roof. If you have gutter downspouts and want to use the de-icing cables to keep them from freezing, you will need Downspout Hangers to protect your cable from the metal edges on the transition.

To determine how many clips and hangers you need, consult our heat cable calculator.

Is there Information Available About Installation?

Installing heat cable requires being up on your roof and some specific knowledge of the product and installation methods. We therefore do not recommend this work for homeowners.

If you are in the greater Twin Cities metro area and want the Ice Dam Company to provide Ice Dam Heat Cable Installation Services let us know by contacting us here.

If you are in another location across the country, check to see if we are providing installation services in your city.

If we are not available in your area, look for a company that has experience with heat cable installations (not a handyman or a roofer who says “he can figure it out”). We are always available for technical consultations for contractors working with our product.
